Ok so we all have some noises but this one I have heard repeatedly and it doesn't bother me except in NOT knowing what it is!?!?!
When I open a door - ANY door, be it locked or unlocked I hear a sound (note Q is NOT running) that reminds me of a cell with the vibrate turned on and no sound that is sitting on a table and receives a text/call... so it 'vibrates' only once or twice.
--> Any thought what this is? <--
It is NOT my cell or the ipod that I keep plugged in in the glovebox, nor is it the suspension resetting itself - that is an outside sound anyways.

I think I have a similar sound on my car. I always attributed it to a computer system starting up or something like that. It make sense, its using the door opening to know when you are about to get in and is starting some systems up.

It may be the electric fuel priming pump. Once you open or unlock any door it pressurises the system to avoid any delay once you turn the key.
It could be your mirrors/seat adjusting to your settings or checking it is at your settings.
Finally it may not be mechanical at all, the soft rubber door seals draw in air as the expand when you open. Sometimes they make a very slight noise.
