It's funny when people say that compering 2.0T with the 3.2. 2.0T has more then enough power and with a small tune it can smoke 3.2. If you want to go crazy with that engine you can make it a rocket. Just so we cut off all the comments that I'm, defending what I have, I have a 3.0T and had 2.0T for a year so I know how it drives.
I plan on getting 2.0T myself, but let's simply compare the facts. While 2.0T itself is plenty adequate, if one compares to 3.2, it does feel less powerful driven back to back (as a matter of fact it IS less powerful - 211hp/258lbft vs 270hp/243lbft)

3.2 has a very smooth power delivery with a nice growl, however, you will have to rev more to get all the power/torque. 2.0T has most torque in the useful RPM range (1500-4000RPM) and makes the car lighter and more frugal.

Also, most people WILL NOT tune the engine. Tuning potential is only useful for a selected few here.

It's hard to find a CPO in that price range.

I've been looking and looking for about 2 or 3 months now....only really want a Prestige if it is a 2010 or 2011, the cheapest I have really seen is $37 or 38K for those years, some have as low miles as 25K.

Now I've been looking at the 2012's with advance key, that's the only reason I want a Prestige from the earlier years. I have driven one 2.0T, and I like that motor. This would be for my wife, so it would be more than adequate, plus the fuel mileage is great.

I am going to look at a 2012 this weekend with 2.0T, advance key, Nav package, B&O and the guy told me $39.5K.....it has less than 10,000 miles and has an inservice date of about March 2012, so lots of warranty left on it.

I might stretch the budget for a car like this, but after I have seen the auction numbers for these cars vs. what the (mostly) dealers are asking for them, they are very expensive....very little depreciation. That's why I'm hesitant and waiting for the wholesale deal.

PaulW. Could you elaborate a bit more on the auction numbers vs asking price? Would be beneficial to know for negotiation.

Thanks.

ahhh too many numbers :P

You would probably be happy with the 2.0T over the 3.2 for everyday driving. The 2.0T is only 0.1s slower to 100km/h so its not like its a slug. The turbo lag does take a little bit of getting used to. Also speeding up going uphill when the engine is only at 1500rpm...I constantly see that I'm speeding, highway driving is even worse. The car slowly goes faster and faster but the rpm never really changes so you don't too much notice until you look down. I'm coming from a 2.3L Mazda 3, so I may be a little skewed, but I've never had a car that will speed up at a decent pace at 1500rpm without bogging down.

Just throwing this out there, but if you put a high-flow cat, 3" downpipe, and open the exhaust up, the turbo lag magically disappears, and your low end torque magically gets a lot more too....
