Default is this normal?

I have been enjoying the Q5 for almost 2 weeks now. I have the following scenario:

-Been driving normally, get in the garage, turn ignition off, take key off (advanced key, not the highest end one).
-I do not lock the doors
-Go about my business
-About 15 minutes later I discovered that I forgot something in the car, came to get it and out of curiosity I turn the MMI ****, radio turns on and I can fiddle with everything (change channels, get the nav scree and see traffic information)....all of this with the key nowhere near the car.

Is this normal?
Can you please check to see whether your Audi does this.

Thanks for your help.

thanks for your response.
I am new to Audi or European cars for that matter and I'm borderline paranoic about the quirks.
I've gotten so many compliments on my new Q5. Love it!
