Default OEM Hitch and Electric Brakes

hitch receiver has a stick indicating that the there are no electric brake connections. The manual also states this. Is this true?

yes it is true and there is no electric brake power control either.

There is wire from hitch to trunk but that's all, I even took off the panel under the steering column and could not find wires/coupler for brake conroller.

If I'm not wrong I remember seeing old post where someone said his dealer told there is conroller and it is ready to go.

I have to say that is BS as how the heck you control the braking power? I could be possible through car computer and flipping the buttons on wiper switch if there would be such at the first place.

At the end, trailer hydraulic surge brakes is only one you can take and just go, trailer with electric brake will need brake conroller with either slider or **** to adjust the braking power.

From my experience with trailers, I would agree.
