Default OEM hitch plus installation?

Was wondering what people were getting quoted for the OEM hitch plus install. My dealer said it takes 6 hours to install. Quoted for Parts + labor = $1,495 on my SQ5

Thats the correct price. About $920 if ordered from factory. Go figure.

That was the quote I got too. Had one put on at Sunset in Portland a few months back, I think the actual charge was $1420 going from memory so a bit less than the quote, it was on a 3.0T.

Default Parking Sensors

Not to hijack, but does the hitch install cause a conflict / disablement of the parking sensors -- I thought I read in the manual they get disabled automatically?

Mine was $1510 installed. Highly recommend going the factory hitch route. The software integrates and there is no conflict with the rear backup sensors. Obviously the rear backup sensors are going to beep when you are nearing your trailer or whatever. The factory hitch is much less obtrusive. Aftermarket hitches hang very low below the chassis which causes hookup problems too.

Yes they do, part of the reason you want a factory set up. When I drive with the bike rack installed, not so lucky.

Is it permanent or does it somehow detect that you have the bikerack installed back there and the re-enable when the rack is removed? I too would like to use the hitch for bikes vs. the roof rack option.

Go with the OEM factory hitch it's very quality. How do post pics from an IPhone to this thread? I can show you my setup with a new bike rack attached to the OEM factory hitch. I only paid $780.00 for the Factory hitch.
