We have a Daytona Gray Pearl on order. Debating whether it'd look better with this black optics pkg...

Black optics does look stunning with white exterior.

When are you scheduled to take delivery?
I think Daytona gray with the black optics package looks amazing. I'm partial to white but gray was my second choice.

I was very persistent and refused to buy the q5 until the package became available

I called audi of America 6 times, googled and a member here has the product info book

It became orderable July 18

This package has a history of not being available when the new models first come out

I get mine first week of oct

I agree. Alas, it'll be my wife's car. I showed her the pics of black optics equipped Daytona Gray, and she said she would only be willing to pay $200 for it.

Oh well...

I looked at the price of 19" tires vs 20" tires...that pushed me over the edge to get 20's

Are you saying 20" tires are cheaper?

it can be...

i live in FL, so i'm getting summer tires.

what i'm really saying is that 20" tires are more readily available than 19" ones, and i get that info from a guy who sells tires. he's been a mechanic for over 10 years also.

i did a quick search on tirerack...and found this to be true.

i'm also targeting passenger car tires, but the important thing to watch out for is the load rating...the tires i'm targeting (michelin super sport) exceeds the OEM tire load rating spec.

Got it. I'll be sticking with all-seasons, and then getting a second set of 18" winter wheels and tires.

It is true that tire selection in size 235/55/19 is somewhat limited. I might switch to 255/50/19 after the factory tires wear out. Better tire selection in that size.

I think you would need 245/50 of 235/55 is the stock size

they have tools online that calculate the difference...

get the 20's!!

the 5 arm option is only a $800, but I would pay $1500 to get the package

I'm a firm believer in "sometimes you have to show people what they want"

Nah... 255/50 is the correct plus zero size alternative to 235/55.

get the 20's!!
Honestly, the roads here can be pretty bad and she isn't always careful, so it's probably safer for her just to stick with 19s.

Had it been my vehicle, I would have most likely gotten the 20s, but I'm not much into SUVs to begin with. I'll stick with sedans.
