Default Photos after tint and clear bra

Ok, you can't see the clear bra, but that's the point. :-) The tint is Suntek CXP 55 on the rear windows and CXP 70 on the sunroof.

Looks darker than it is here due to being in shade and doubled up through two windows.

The clear bra is Suntek PPF C and is on the bumper, headlights, front of hood & quarter panels, mirrors, handle indents (where you fingernails & rings hit), and top of rear bumper.

Here you can see through just a single pane. It's not too dark, but sure helps our little one in the back seat.

Default Very nice....

I am considering clear bra but there are no xpel or suntek installers in my immediate area, only 3m. Not so sure I want that based upon unscientific Internet trolling. Oh well just a few more weeks for delivery. I hope you're enjoying it!!

I like it.

Has the tinted roof taken away from the open, panoramic feel?

I thought I saw you're in the Raleigh area? If so, looks like there's one that Xpel lists there - Total Vehicle Preparation:

Xpel Ultimate is great stuff - I highly recommend it.

3M 30FX-PM on my front door glass and 3M 90 Crystalline on the sunroof panels for mine. Plus, I had him put Scotchgard Paint Protection Film on the rear bumper.

Don't all Q5's come with factory tint on back windows? What am I missing here?

And sunroof. Wanted slightly darker for 20 month old toddler, Heat reflection, and UV protection.

Ahh OK, should have done the side fronts too, no? Illegal in your state?

I thought about it, but ever since having a car with 5% rear widows and 20% fronts, I've stayed away from tint at all. It was just a different time in my life with different desires. That said, doing the 70% up front may have been good as it would have been very subtle but had the other benefits. I wanted to see how this turned out first. I actually wasn't planning on tint at all - I was just going in for the clear bra and then in the days before decided to add the tint as well
