I'd like to get rid of the OEM pads' brake dust, and to retain OEM brake feel/grab (if possible).
From my past experience with ceramic pads (Akebono, Hawks ceramic, EBC Redstuff) I know that ceramic pads do not grab as well as OEM but produce no visible dust at all. I wonder if anyone used EBC's Greenstuff 2000 series pads -can anyone comment on how the Greenstuff pads brake and how much dust they produce.

Thank a lot.

The fact that manufacturers put the word "ceramic" is a fraud. Price is best shown by how many ceramic in them.
When it is so because the payment for the original discs and ceramic pads $ 7.000- $ 15.000 depending on the brand of car.
For me, safety is more important than cleaning the wheels.Better is a little more to try and clean the wheels, but .....
On many tests "ceramic" pads have a longer stopping distance than the original 5-15% (2-6 meters)from 100km/h to 0km /h !!!!!!

I've recently put Carbon-Lorraine pads on the front of our A6 4.2
and have noticed quite a difference in dust, and seemingly comparable stopping power.

Also have them F & R on my BMW M/C. Same results, feels like it stops better....which is what prompted me to investigate them for the A6.

YMMV

Interested as to what people have experienced as well. I plan to swap over to Hawk HPS pads this spring (if they're available) as I've had great past experiences with them on my A4's....

I am switching to Centric Posi Quiet Semi-Metallic pads - I run them on the RS4 and love the low dust.

You can have the aftermarket place install them and order them.

I agree with you, everyone has a different experience. Mine is not well with the replacement brakes.
If you are so good then why was a for example the Audi R8 ceramic brakes price 8800 Euros or RS5 price 6000Eura
These are prices for the Audi RS5
FRONT:
420 615 302 D right ceramic brake disc 2678 Euros
420 615 302 G left ceramic brake disc 2678 Euros
4E0 698 151 G set of brake pads for ceramic disc 295 Euros

I think that the "ceramic" brakes for the price of $ 60-120 are not real.
Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion does not want to understand me wrong.

So, no one used EBC Greenstuff - they are not advertised as ceramic pads, but as "exceeding OEM quality" pads with "low" dusting -what ever that "low" means...

I run EBC Redstuff ceramic pads on my LR2, and in the beginning they were almost as good as OEM LR pads, but not quite, and as they wear out you need to push harder on the brake pedal so you just don't get that "feel" of a luxury vehicle braking...
