this version seems a bit more Q5-like practical in the rear hatch... still small though.

If it had true offroad capabilities and a buttload of power I'd surely rock one...

Not sure what the point is--is it an SUV? Can't be--too small, not enough useful interior space. Is it a car? Can't be--too high, handling would be compromised.

Ditto the points raised about the X6 and ZDX--I don't get the thinking behind taking a vehicle primarily designed to be useful (X5, MDX, Q5) and making it less useful for the sake of...looks, I guess, although even that's debatable in the case of the ZDX in particular. God, in person that thing is awful, and I used to be an Acura guy.

I really like the edgy and aggressive styling on the q3 & hope that makes it to production.

I think there will be a growing demand for smaller premium SUVs

people like to ride up higher off the ground and have a decent amount of storage space.

I'm really digging the smaller SUVs like the upcoming mini countryman as well. The q3 fits right in that market segment and I think vehicles like this will do well.

Production in 2011 but from http://www.themotorreport.com.au/283...n-sale-in-2011 "Since Audi announced early last year that its upcoming Q3 compact SUV would join the line-up in late 2011, neither hide nor hair of Audi's newest high-rider has been seen since."
also
from http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...d-2012-audi-q3
"Both three- and five-door variants are expected, and since it will share a platform with the Volkswagen Tiguan, it will likely share internals with it as well. Engines will include a 200 horsepower 2.0-liter TFSI, a 238 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel and a possibly a 333 horsepower 3.0-liter supercharged V-6."
So probably no haldex, only torsen. Not a real Audi Q but I bet it'll beat a tiguan.
Waiting for a Q3 forum to start here @audiworld.

And knowing Audi NA I'll be shocked if we see a 3 door Q3 in the US.
