Default Q5 center console Al trim is really soft

Picked up a friend today and the corner of her purse dinged the aluminum.

She barely tapped it as she got in.

Im wondering if AOA will cover it. There is no reason the trim should be that fragile..

Part is about $200..

I'm wondering if a dent removal guy could get it out...

(Sigh)

i guess that's the nature of aluminum trims. I had those on my MKV GTI's door and they got digned up as well. BMW aluminum trims are as fragile as Audi, VW if you read Bimmer forums.

Be careful not to let your seatbelt fly back. It can ding the door panel.

will do! i just placed my ordee with OCarbon. check out his website, very cool products. http://ocarbon.com/
i just bought the cores he's going to use to start the Q5 line so if you're interested, let him know i sent you his way please.

if you want to wait for pics of my set up before you decide, we're looking at a few weeks for the parts to be made then shipped. i plan on installing them ASAP and sending him some pics for his website that i'd be happy to share with you also.
