Default Q5 "Easter Eggs" (Hidden Features)

Hi guys,

I thought this would be a good thread to start - so people can discuss those 'hidden' features (easter eggs) that you love (or suprised you!) about your Q5.

I'll start:
  • I love how, if it's raining and you put it in reverse, the rear wiper comes on.
  • I was suprised that the Q5 disables the fog lights when you turn on the high beams (thanks VCDS, fixed that!)

Good idea... bring it all together for new owners....

I think there is more to discover than know on this nice vehicle....
each day I am allowed to drive it I discover more !!!

which points out that the salesmen (or rather Audi)
could boost sales by educating the masses

the vag-com personalization possibilities are SUPER...and daughter has a vw!
the extendable sun visors were a REAL bonus for those of us that sit back.
the digital speed on the DIS is loved by the wife...

According to our friends from Canada - this is not a very good design feature - if it's freezing outside - you can break your wiper motor very easy.

If your light switch isn't set to "auto", I don't think they will come on automatically (please correct me if I'm mistaken)...so that's should be an easy off feature when the weather gets chilly for my fellow Canucks!

For your information because there are fuses and this is a new generation wiper motor that has its own electronics to register the resistance and stop the wiper motor.
I think that Audi has enough smart engineers to think about such things
Otherwise the Audi had to eliminate the cost of the warranty period (4 year warranty)

That's law across the USA (governed by FMVSS) and applies to all cars.

Audi has done it from the practical reason that when the fog outside high beams only worsen visibility.
Therefore I can conclude that you never drove a car by a thick fog.

If you think Audi (BMW, MBZ) engineers never had a mistake in their design - you are wrong. Just check every Audi, BMW, MBZ forum and see how many problem drivers reports every day. wake up and smell the coffee!

Of course there are problems. They have a luxury car from $ 200,000 to 400,000 problem.
I'm just saying for what you mentioned: break your wiper motor very easy
Do not leave the off-topic or what you wrote
