We assumed it must be, since we noticed that all of our cars do the same thing.

Oddly, we use them more to see deer on our country road rather than for fog! I've owned the Q5 for a month, and have had over a dozen deer, 3 cats, and 2 hedgehogs run across the road in front of me!

The picture of your deer made me laugh since several of the deer we've almost run down are actually reindeer...and they grow them pretty big up here in Northern Germany!

When I lived in Boston, I went through the season of the squirrel, they were throwing themselves under my wheels....I still feel guilty!

[*]I love how, if it's raining and you put it in reverse, the rear wiper comes on.

I can't stand this feature. I never use my rear wiper as it scratches the glass do to all the dust that sticks to it. So I have to shut the wipers off when I back up.

Default Easter Eggs

To change lanes, just touch the indicator stalk softly than press it down - it will blink the indicators 3 times and stop. Great feature IMO, saves you having to flick the indicators back up just to change lanes.

To open your windows and sunroof, hold down the unlock key on your remote. to close, hold down the lock key on your remote.

Hmmm... the hold down the unlock key on my remote doesn't open my windows and sun roof on my 2011 premium plus 2.0T. Must be either a set up change I need to make or this doesn't work on my model. That or 10 sec. isn't long enough. Glad it works for you. Sounds like a nice feature.

You need a vag-com cable and this:

The auto close/open of windows and sunroof with the key is standard on Aus delivered Q5's but NA delivered ones need the VAG-COM fix.

I like the 3 blink indicators (standard on most cars for the last 5 years or more) but I'd like it to do 4 or 5 flashes as 3 is not enough!
