Q5 Running Board Installation

I tracked down the instructions. The first thing the instructions say is that assembly should be carried out in a service centre and that the assembly requires a rivet gun, a dynamometric key, an interior multiple torx head and a drill.
Since I dont have these, I called the local Audi centre and the quoted me £600 to carry out the installation. Just for the installation as I already have the parts. That seems quite excessive too me but maybe its a more comlex process than the instructions make it out to be.

I called a Toyo dealer to find out how much it would be to get a tow hitch put on our highlander. They quoted me almost 1k. I did it for $250 and there wasn't much labor involved.

I have them on mine and I do like them. Not for getting in and out, but for loading stuff on the roof like my bike or skis. They save you from stepping on the rockers with your muddy/salty feet when loading/unloading anything from the roof rack.
P.S. They aren't narrow at all when the door is open.
