Default Q5 Sales Jan-Feb 2013

Audi just released sales figures for Feb '13:

Feb: 2,753 +57%
Jan-Feb: 5,097 +36%

The Q5 outsold the A4 (2,635 -3.1%) in February. A lot of the increase no doubt from the new 3.0t.

I always wondered, are those sales tracked by the day the order is put into the computer (with deposit) or tracked by the date of delivery.

I wondered about that too. And do all of the mfgrs. report sales the same way?

Pretty sure the day of delivery, or actually when you sign the papers. It isn't really YOUR car until you sign the buy papers. The agreement where you give a down payment and place the order is non-binding, at least it said so on mine.

I believe it's signed sales paperwork based what I was told yesterday when I got my Q5.

The only paper I signed was an acknowledgment that my deposit was not returnable.
