Default The Q5 sure gets a lot of looks...

I was driving home from the mountains today, and I noticed a lot of people obviously turning their heads to look at my car. Especially those in competitors cars. One funny story was a guy in a white Toyota who was driving past me in some pretty slow traffic, and as he passed he was actually turning around to look at the car. Once he was ahead of me, he stuck his hand out the window and gave the the thumbs up. I couldn't help but to laugh, but it made me feel pretty good.

Anyone else have any fun stories of people checking out their Q5?

yeah I do.

Everyday on my way to work, as i head north there is a line of traffic a few miles long going south. I purposely slow down so every can see me and the LED's on front of my Q5. And when they look, yeah I get giddy. It's like look at me, look at me....it does make you feel good to know others are admiring your car.

Yeah, definitely a giddy feeling. Only once before did I have a car that was a brand new model on the road, and this one gets way more looks and stares. Love it.

I had a Grand Cherokee SRT8 before I got the Q5 that people would stare at constantly. Even when I was at the Audi dealership, people would come over from the VW dealership next door and ask me about it. So it feels good to have another car that people admire and ask about.

Did you see the new Grand Cherokee that they unveiled last week at NYIAS? Not sure what I think yet. On one hand, I like it. But if you look at it from the rear, it doesn't look like a jeep.

UM NO, I don't like it....I liked the slap sided angles and the lines. I will see it in 2 days when I go to the NYIAS, so we'll see if my mind changes then.

Just got my Q5 and went cruising around town.
I try not to look. I got my wife to see who's looking.

We got tons of looks and re-looks.

Some Examples
Guy driving a Porsche Cayenne S gave us a look before taking off.
An Audi A4 tried to stay around me, checking out all sides.. Only thing he saw was our rear
Even a hot red Ferrari was checking us out. He was trying to get me to duke it out with him, but I didn't take. I didn't want to kill my car within the first 200km

I was challenged many times to race, but ignored them most of the time.

My Dad has a Cayenne S, and I think the Q5 looks a lot like the Cayenne. Look at it from the side and there are a lot of similarities. The back end is just a tad shorter.
