Default Rear hatch doesn't open high enough

I'm getting better at avoiding it now but the rear hatch on our Q5 is so low that even when fully open I've bumped my head on it quite a few times. Bringing it up tonight as I've just rented a 2013 Ford Escape on a business trip and one of the first things I noticed was how high the rear hatch opened - well clear of my head @ 6 ft 1 - the Audi opening is a foot or so lower. Does anyone know if the opening height of the Audi hatch is adjustable?

How tall are you? My 2012 opens to about 8 foot at least

Instructions on adjusting the opening height is in your owner's manual.

Thanks so much! Instead of skimming will have to rtfm. My wife @ 5'3 fits under it nicely but it catches me around eyebrow level @ 6'1 - pretty low.

Default Just push the hatch up...

to the height you want, then after you close it, next opening it will remember the new setting. Same if you want to lower the hatch.

Found the reference in the user manual - have to click and hold the close button at the required height and it saves the opening height - or at least that's the claim. In my case there's about a 6 inch difference (too low unfortunately) between the opening specified and what is "saved". So while I did get a small incremental improvement with the "save" I think there's still an issue which I'll bring to the attention of the dealer.
