Default Rear License Plate Screw Size

Can anyone advise as to the correct size of the rear license plate screws for the 2010 Q5?

TIA

I can't help with the size, but I needed license plate screws for my 2013, stopped at the dealership and the service advisor gave me 4 of them.

Cheapskates only put two screws on mine, I noticed after I recently took delivery.

These are nice but a little pricey.

I actually put mine on with bolts. They are hidden nicely under my CF Audi Sport License plate frame, as it came with snap covers.

The dealer had only put 2 screws in.

Does anyone know how to take the license plate off if one perhaps put in the wrong screw size and now cannot remove the screw because it just keeps spinning?

It's spinning because the screw is too small for the hole. You need to pull out the screw head while you turn it. Use a box cutter to pry it out with one hand while unscrewing it with your other hand.

I'm with you on this one. I bought a new plate frame for like $20 from Autozone because your car that you paid for with your hard-earned cash shouldn't be a moving advertisement for the dealership.

I also bought a clear cover for my front plate so it's easier to wash off bug splatters.
