Has anyone experienced their rear seat rattling? Mine all of a sudden started rattling or banging when I go over large bumps. I know Michigan roads are known to be crappy but this bugs me bad. I can recreate the noise by hitting the seat back, I am not sure how to fix this since it just started yesterday. Any thoughts?

flip the seats down, make sure nothing is caught in the latch area..drive around with the seats down..Still rattling? If so, may not be the seat. Do a process of elimination, seats up/down, passenger in rear seat(s), rear hatch cover in place/removed.. etc..

I will give this a try to maybe track down the issue. Like I said I can recreate the sound by hitting the drivers side back seat. The passenger side back seat is solid and doesn't make any noise. Thanks.

I drove around with the drivers side rear seat down and the rattle went away. So then I put the outer portion of the seat up, leaving the center down and the rattle was still gone. I put the center portion up and the rattle is there. I think that it is the latch between the center and outer seat. I will wrap the stud with electrical tape and see if I can tighten up the connection. Thanks for all the help.

Had this happen right after we purchased ours. Took it in & they replaced part of the seat frame. No issue since & we now have 25K on it.
Had same issue with our 2011 Q 5 and they fixed that too. They said they thought that issue was solved years ago so they were surprised when we had it again.
I hate those little rattles.

My issue was similar to "xfirechief's", it was not the latch, cause if somebody applies pressure down on the rear passenger seat, or simply sit there, the noise stops. So, it tuned out after a couple of trips to the dealership, they had to replace the seat frame: a part that would normally have to be ordered.
