I certainly wouldn't buy new wheels due to cosmetic damage.
If your car is otherwise perfect, it is worth replacing the wheel. But I will look for a factory wheel, not reconditioned.

I was referencing the OP in regards to purchasing reconditioned wheels. I would have 2 of my own refinished before that. Most people have at least one blemished wheel anyway.

If you're super picky and don't mind the cost, sure- spend the extra $300+ on a mint factory one ($130 refinish vs. $430 mint take off for my stock 21). Most won't be able to justify that cost though.
