Retro fit rear hatch auto close mech
Hi, I have a Q5 that does not have the automated rear hatch closure mechanism. I would like to add it. Does anyone know, is most everything that is needed found in the hatch? I would just need to make sure it had power. This may require re-flashing the computer but I would guess the wiring is already there. Thanks for any thoughts.

I think this module is for Q5 that has automated tailgate system.
This is what I've got last summer
"If it doesnt open and close automatically (powered) then module wont work for you.
It just allows you to close it with the remote when Audi wont."
You may check with him.

I'm looking to add automation to my existing manual tailgate lift.

No, the trunk hatch already had a motor to open it via remote key/inside button, but would not close unless you pressed the button located on the hatch. This module allows you to close it remote via the key and the inside button located on the driver's door.
