I notice there are two options for this. Audi has a Bike rack that requires the front wheel be taken off and the other one you can leave the front wheel on.
The one where you leave the front wheel off is more expensive. Is it more secure?
Thoughts on which one to go with?

I talked with the Trek Dealer, I bought a 6700 w/disc. They said it as easy to take the wheel off and should work. If it doesn't I am going to smash their windows. just kidding!!!

I bought the Barracuda bike rack for the roof (they call it aqctually Volkswagen LOGO) for $150 plus Tax (Canadian) when it was on sale (I beliee regular price is $190). Since the car comes with the cross bars this was for me the best solution. No adapter kit or whatsoever needed. Not sure if Thule will be cheaper?! FYI - I like to 'logo' bike carrier... easy and simple. The roof is just not for everyone ;-)

The Thule website does tell you that you need to buy their crossbars so I was confused as well. I went to my local Rack Attack shop recently and they confirmed that Thule products will fit the Audi bars. They told me that the Audi bars are made by Thule.
