Default Servtronic Steering Issue

Had TSB 48-09-11 for the steering wheel shudder issue while turning at low speeds...about 7 months ago...they replaced some steering fluid line.

Two days ago i lost power steering so steering became real heavy...then last night when i leave work it started working again.

Anyone else experience this? thanks.

fluid level is full. Normal operation after two days of no power and still working fine. Probably something loose...relay? Not going to take it in until next service (6K) unless i need to. Having no power steering wasnt too bad, reminded me of my first car.

There is hydraulic fluid and the amount of hydraulic assistance is attenuated electronically as speed increases

First it was the water pump issue, now the steering, what's next? I don't know if I can rely on Audi's reliability...

I believe both these issues are fixed in the 2011 models, it's not uncommon for a new vehicle to have a few problems the first couple years of production. I wouldn't say Audi's reliability is suspect any more than most manufacturers.

get over it, dont cave to internet hype or random issues. There are 10 fold peeps who love their Q5 with or without the issues.
cya.
