Giant mirrors can most definetely be a problem in NYC-type traffic. I drive in Manhattan 2/3 days a week and what you are saying is correct. Pedi-cabs too - hate 'em!!! Limited side clearance passing double parked FedEx trucks, etc. - a nice way to destroy your new vehicle's mirrors or spend five minutes each block waiting for the driver to return - lol!!!

i always say if you can drive in NYC you can drive anywhere! (at least in the US) especially a vehicle that is a bit challenging. unlike a little civic or something

I hope I can swap them out when they come out with new ones, which I am sure will be smaller. The size of the mirrors just doesn't make any sense. I was parked next to an odyssey and yes my mirrors were bigger than the mirrors on a minivan!
Forget the fact that it reduces my blind spot, the mirrors are so big that I can see the blind spots for the car behind me!

The big mirrors is my only major design complaint. I have to actually sit up to look over the mirror when making a left-hand turn. It will take some time to get used to this and I am really worried about my wife trying to see around them. They are too large regardless of what the truckers say.
