So, my sales associate finally gave me good news and updated me on the status of my special order Q5. It has a mid-May delivery date! I placed the order back in February after a few different Audi dealers told me special ordering colors wouldn't be available till 2010.

So, why did I special order? Well, I liked the super classy dark grey but wasn't a fan of the bluish tint in Meteor Gray or the lack of darkness in the Quartz. What I really wanted was Daytona Grey which is in the R8 and Q7 S-Line model lines.

I ordered mine fully loaded: Daytona Grey, S-Line package, Prestige Package, Side Assist, and Audi Drive Select.

Unfortunately, my sales guy doesn't wanna back down too much off of MSRP since it's a special order. I told him he should at least throw in AudiCare for me since I'm paying this semi-bogus $399 "dealer fee" in addition to the MSRP.

When I take delivery, I'll take pics for everyone to see! Not sure if the new grey in 2010 models is Daytona or not, but Daytona is HOT.
