I have had my SQ5 on order now about 3 weeks. I called four different dealers in and out of state and managed to get a offer of a $1000 over invoice plus my audi loyalty discount. What have you guys managed to get? Is this a great deal or just normal. I usually buy vehicles at invoice and sometimes manage to get dealer hold back and rebates.

On the 2.0 and 3.0 a lot of people were getting around 5% below MSRP. I got my 2.0 for $2k below MSRP (4.5% off MSRP), but I don't know what that translates to in terms of invoice price.

Sounds like a great deal JBD. Seems to me the SQ5 is one of those hot items that could attract a premium over sticker from some less scrupulous dealers.

It's probably a good deal, especially since the SQ5 isn't out yet. That being said, I don't think that it's a great deal. Anything over $1k above invoice is way too much, IMHO, especially if you're ordering the car and the dealer doesn't have to pay to put it on the lot. I paid a few hundred less than that for my 2.0 - but that model was already out.
At the end of the day, if you're happy with your purchase and feel that you got a good deal, then you did. Who cares what a bunch of schmucks on the internet say

Purchased our '13 Q5 P+ in January for $1k over invoice.
From our research and discussions with friends within the car sales business, we are under the impression that Audi dealerships do not have the general "hold backs" or incentives as other dealers may have (not direct words from the dealership, so take it with a grain of salt).
All in all, we negotiated with the dealer for several hours, and this was the best and final. Obviously, since we bought the car that night, we thought it was a fair deal. Dealership also mentioned that if we come back then we can strike up the same deal, with loyalty discount, no hassle.
IMHO, $1k over invoice is more than fair for the SQ5, the fit & finish, and the customer support that Audi is known to have.
Congrats on the order!

Thanks guys for all the info. I feel like I got the best deal I could. Was it a good deal???!? Who knows. It's still on the dealers favor because they would not have offered to sell me it. Lol. I want $12,000 off sticker and $3000 rebates and 0.0% financing lol. But it is the best deal I could find. One dealer basically called me a liar, he said no one would sell a SQ5 for a $1000 over invoice.
