Driving home tonight my low oil warning came on. I knew the car was not low on oil. I check it through the MMI all the time. So I stopped turned the car off opened the hood and then restarted the car. The warning was off so I drove about 70 miles home. When I got home I let the car set for a couple of minutes then checked the oil through the MMI and now it is saying its over full. Any suggestions.

JB, you might have a bad sensor.
You should have the dealer verify the level with their dipstick tool.

I would say bad oil sensor OR wrong viscosity oil installed (did you have an oil change recently by chance?).
I've experienced the latter previously, changed to the correct viscosity oil and was all set.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Good luck!

Had the 15,000 mile service done at the dealer in May. I now have 19,000 miles. First time any light has came on. Called the dealer. He said come by and they would check the level but could not get me in till next week. I am sure it is just a faulty sensor at worst. But still bugs the hell out of me.

So, the car was a quart over full since May, but the warning only showed up now?
So much for the reliability of these electronic sensors. When my wife got her Q5, the first thing I did was buy an actual oil dipstick for it.
BTW, wife's previous car was a 2008 MB C300. It had a faulty oil level sensor as well and needed to be replaced.
