Coming to the end of my original P zero 255/40 r 21 tires and plan to fit 265/40/r 21 have run them at 34 psi and very happy with wear and grip particularly in heavy rain. will get 30 k kilometres out of this set when on the markers. Has anybody got experience of 265 /40 21s ?? happy motoring

i'm looking to replace my stock 21" p-zero's with all season tires. i've been really happy with nokians in the past however they are only available in 265/45 or 275/40 R21's.

https://www.nokiantires.com/all-weat...kian-wrg3-suv/

from reading this thread it looks like 265/45 R21 would work best, being a bit wider and taller. 275/40's seem like they'd be too wide (both in looks and performance)?

anybody running these? any other suggestions and/or pics to share?

thanks in advance!

I have been reading all weekend about tires and frankly, I am just confused. I am picking up a new 2017 Q5 tomorrow and it has the 21" tires on it ( 255/40/21). Since these are summer tires and I need, at least, all season tires I am having a huge issue. As stated earlier there are no all season tires in this size. So I can either get winter tires and change out the rubber every 6 months, get a second set of smaller rims that will not look as good as the 21" ones I have...or try a different tire size.

So...does anyone know if I can fit the 265/40R21 Scorpion Verde All Season tires on my new Q5?

Thanks!

Have 35 K km on 265/40 r21 P Zeros and very happy. Speedo now GPS accurate and perfect flat tread wear at 32 / 36 psi inflating. Great in wet . Live in sensible place so don't need winter tires !!

"So...does anyone know if I can fit the 265/40R21 Scorpion Verde All Season tires on my new Q5?"

i just put these on my 2016 SQ5. they DO fit the OEM 21" rims. they also fit without spacers but they are VERY close to the front control arm. the rear seem fine without spacers. you could probably run these as is, but the fronts were too close for me to be comfortable.

i ended up putting 10mm spacers on the front and 15mm spacers on the rear (mainly for looks on the rear).

so far after a few hundred miles i'm happy. they are slightly louder than the stock p-zeros and don't feel as planted/sticky but all that's to be expected. i'm in California so no rain yet but i expect them to handle way better than the p-zero's (which wouldn't be hard).

Thanks. I was worried about the clearance as well. I also have not had good luck with Perilli tires in the past so this helped sway my decision.

I have decided to get the SQ5 winter tire package which has 19" rims and winter tires. I figure that gets me through this winter and next summer and with any luck there will be some 21" Conti DWS 06 tires available next year that fit my 255/40R21 rims. Especially since this 21" black optic tire package I got has been one of the most requested packages over the last 6 months, according to my dealer.

Check out SQive's thread on Atturo 265/40/21 tires. He's on this board and on the other one. Trying a new tire.... That's what I'm going to get when my OEM summer tires wear out.

FYI the Atturo's aren't M+S rated tires. They are a cost effective option though.

I thought that was indeed the case, but SQive referred to them as all season. Better for me that they're summer tires. I love my Hakkas for the winter!
