Default stain from GPS dashboard mount

I just had very first long trip with the Q and I love the ride quality. However, I had a GPS mount (the friction mount) on dashboard and just realized the button of it made some stains on the dashboard. It looked like some kind of oil/grease and in a form of circle. I tried to wipe it with clean water but couldn't remove it completely.

Did anyone had this problem before and how to remove it? Can someone please recommend a good dashboard cleaner (non-greasy, non-shinning) and safe for our Q?

Thanks in advance.

If the mount had a rubber bottom and you left it on the dash all the time, the sun could have melted the rubber partially into your dash, I hope thats not the case.

G Man,

The bottom has some kind of silicon material but I only left on dash for 2 days. I am sure it didn't melt because the temperature were pretty low.

You might try goof off - it removes glues and oils.

I just bought something called Dash Away made by Surf City Garage during lunch time. It seems has some good reviews. Anyone tried it before?
