How come I can still operate radio/nav even after I remove the key and lock the car? Is it supposed to do that? (I don't have advanced key feature) Would it eventually turn itself off after a period of time?

it stays on for just a short while. in fact i believe if you open the door right after taking the key out, your screen will turn off.

All my previous VW's and Audi's do this. I like it - lets you listen to the radio with the car off.

"With the ignition off, the radio can still be used for about 10 minutes. If you do not press any function button, control button or the control **** on the radio, the radio turns itself off again automatically". Per page 18, Sound System Operating Instructions.

Doesn't matter how long the car has been off, you can still turn on the radio and listen. Will eventually turn off if you don't touch it.
