This is what I decided to put in mine. Not sure how you are supposed to get out of your car these days with automatic windows if the doors are stuck.

Nein, the photo in the German manual clearly (ahem) shows their umbrella hanging on the multi-use adapter hook, which was not shipped on the 2014 models in the US.

Although, if German engineers truly had such tiny umbrellas, one could understand that "umbrella inadequacy compensation" might be the motivation for many of the odd things they do.

An umbrella, of course, is to be laid between the seat and the door, so it can't drip on anything in the car, or become an impediment to anything.

I'm SO glad to hear this is nothing obvious.

This was the best use I could come up with: a C-cell Maglite fits, albeit barely.
