TDI cold start
I have a 2015 TDI. On the first start on a cold engine I experience a pronounced 1 1/2 --2 second delay after pushing the start button. There after virtually no noticeable delay. Is this normal ? Thoughts?

Yes completely normal. When you press the start button the glow plugs are turned on for a temperature dependant period, and then the starter motor engages and spins/starts the engine.
