So I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with mixing it up on the Q5. I know Audi likes to put on whatever tires they have that week, my 13 Q5 19" wheels came with Continentals.
I have the Yokahama's sitting in my garage waiting to be put on. I can let you know how they are in a couple of weeks

I always put them on my A8 -- I live in Florida and they (+Quattro) performed well in both dry and wet/oily conditions. +1 from me.

BTW - I have the Pro-Contacts on my A4 and like them - based on your thoughts I will probably go with the DWS for that car when needed...
Thanks
I had Conti DWS on my B6 A4 and loved them so much I put a pair on my wife's B5.5 Passat 4Mot. They handle very well, not a summer high-perf tire, but that's a little overkill for a stock Q5 anyway. They wore very well, I got close to 65k with a lot of highway miles. The guys at Discount Tire were pretty surprised. The sidewalls on Continental tires are actually typically a little soft, so I ran the pressure up a few pounds, typically about 35 psi.

For my Q5 I stuck with the stock 18s due to Michigan's terrible roads. Not disappointed with the ride or handling, although they do look good rolling on bigger stock. Unfortunately, Conti does not make the DWS in 235/60-18, so when the time comes I'll have to go another route, otherwise I would not hesitate to buy a set again.

Also BTW, they are the best all-season tire I've ever experienced in snow. Not as good as real snow tires, but not a bad substitute.
