Anyone who has the thermo cup holders just curious to know how effective they are

We have the thermo cup holder in our Q5 and really like it. The cooling mode isnt super cold but will keep your beverage cool to drink all day long. The heat mode works a little better, coffee never gets cold!

We don't use it that much, but both hot and cold work well.

one thing I did notice is that the grips get marked up which is fine however I guess they could have used a different material so that they wouldn't get marred.

FYI, there is only one thermo cup holder--the cup holder closest to the driver. The other cup holder is a standard cup holder.

I have thermo cup holder and I have only used Cold mode and it works. Just cold enough to keep your cool drink "cool". Better than nothing I guess.

After a quick trip to Sonic the thermo-cup holder kept my Java Mocha Chiller from not melting on the 20min ride home

I was really impressed with how well both the hot and cold functions worked. The cold isn't ICE cold, but it does keep the chill on a drink nicely. The hot worked a little bit better. Overall, I think it's a cool feature that exceeds my expectations.

Is the location of the cup holders a pain when you have starbucks Venti size tall drinks in them and you're hand is working the Mimi controller? I mean is your arm hitting the drinks?
