Me! Today I bought myself a Thule Dynamic 900. It's a little ICBM like but I wanted 2 things out of it: Low slung for drag and I need to carry a fair amount so the 900 was the better choice for me over the 800 (which is some 10" shorter). I also purchased the Thule 4 bag kit that helps with ensuring proper storage and weight distribution. All in all, a satisfied customer. I'll put up some snaps later on...
Here are 3 snaps of the Thule Dynamic 900 in Black. As with most things in Chile, this box was NOT cheap. I paid approx US$1,400 (it also included the Thule bag set which comprises 3 large, fairly squat nylon holdall bags and a 4th even shorter for the front section of the box). The box opens on both sides and has a locking mechanism that will not let you remove the key until 5 locking locations are properly closed. The floor has antislip padding and it comes with 3 belts if you are not using the bags. I should point out that with the 900 series it is necessary to adjust the hatch so as not to bash into the back of the box. It can open to as far as parallel with the roof now. Manually adjusting the hatch and then holding the close hatch button for 3 seconds programs the new "open to" position. This would not be required on the shorter 800.

I have the Thule Sonic M (used to be called the L). I got it because I didn't want any overhang in the front. Put about 2000 miles on it so far and don't have any complaints. It's definitely noticeable noise wise over 50 mph and it seemed pretty stable cruising at 80 with bursts up to 90 mph.
I have yet to have a chance to test it at 100+ mph speeds and I'm a little wary since I haven't been able to find any max speed ratings for the carriers.
Good point ND40oz...I tested my Dynamic 900 up to approx 80mph and it was barely noticeable. I see that Thule recommend up to 130kph max with any box on the roof so thats about 80mph. That was another reason I went for the low slung Dynamic model.
FYI - I just purchased and mounted the Force XL - while it fits fine, I had to adjust my SQ5 hatch from not opening as wide so it didn't hit the box. Not a big deal, but I thought I'd share.
Has anyone opted for the Audi cargo carrier?
I can't seem to find much info on it, I was considering asking them to throw it in the deal for ski trips.
Does anyone have this cargo carrier? I want to use my $500 card and have decided to purchase this one... it's $935 at the stealership. Like to. Hear if people like it, thanks.
