Audi boxes look like Thule boxes, maybe they are manufactured by them.

We are headed to WI for Christmas and would really like to take my wife's new Q5 instead of my Titan. If so, we'll need a carrier for the extra presents and such. I have a couple questions.
1. Is there a reason to get the Audi cargo carrier box vs Thule Sonic box?
2. Does the Thule box attach to the factory bars just like the Audi cargo box?
3. How do they attach to the cross bars?
4. Do I need to order anything besides the Thule Sonic box to make it work?

Update. I found the answers I was looking for and just ordered the Thule Sonic M/L on Amazon. We don't ski so this should work well for the limited times we will need it. I'll try to add some pictures once it gets here for those interested. Don't see a need to spend the extra $$$ for the Audi Cargo Carrier.

Had one, took it to Alaska panhandle this summer, about 10000 km there and back.

Worked great! Thro rain, a collision with a turkey vulture at 100 km and the occasional high speed passing to 150 Km no worries. Perhaps not the most Attractive box out there but definently does the job!
