Default Tire Pressure

I have the standard 18" Q5 tires from Michelin.
I was wondering what PSI you guys keep your tires at? I think the manual said to keep it around 30 PSI but this seems kinda low to me.

take a look around your driver side door. You should be able to find a sticker that will tell you the recommended tire pressure. I have the same 18" tires from Michelin. I usually keep them at 32 PSI.

I've got the 19's and have upped the pressure to 40psi as I found the front tyres were wearing excessively on the outer edges. I haven't yet done enough km's to tell if it has fixed the issue.

Use the pressures in the manual - the ones on the door in the US are the fully loaded pressures. Personally I use 2psi over the unloaded pressures recommend by the manual.

I have 19's and run them at 34-35 psi; so far it seems to be a good compromise of comfort and handling.

Thanks everyone.

What would you say is the trade off between over inflating and under inflating your tires?

Over inflating = harsher ride, better fuel economy (I am not so sure about this, I still think it depends on how you drive the car)

Under inflating = more confortable ride, bad fuel economy.
