Default Tire Size for stock 18"

Hi Everyone,
First post. First Audi. Bought a 2013 Q5 2.0T. Awesome little SUV! I like the stock 18" wheels b\c of the nice ride it's designed for. However, I like to increase the tire width from 235/60/R18 to something around 265 or 275? Is this possible? I also maybe considering 20mm rear & 15mm front wheel spacers for a better stance. Any suggestions is appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

255/55/18 should be easily doable. Same diameter as stock, and lots of tire models available in this size.

Thanks for the link. I've notice they discussed about the tire sizes for a 19" stock.

I am just curious if anyone have experience by increasing the width only and keeps the profile 60/R18. I've found a few tires size with 265/60/18 and 275/60/18.

Why would you want to do that? you do understand that the "60" is not an absolute height value but a percentage of width, dont you? If you increase width but keep the ratio at 60, you will end up with a tire that is too tall and may cause all sorts of handling issues and possibly rub, too. That is why I mentioned using 255/55/18 because it will have the same overall height as a stock tire.

Here's a 255/50R19 tire mounted on a 19" x 8.5". As you can see, the tire make a pretty big but still reasonable bulge. Now, imagine replacing the wheel with a smaller and narrower wheel (18 x 8) as yours...

Thanks for the image. This helps cleared it up. I like your grill front bar with the chrome strips. I wonder if that will fit my 2013 grill.

@ex-quattro PETE I see it now. Thank you.
