Default TPMS works......crap.

Had my Q in for 5000 mile service yesterday. Yesterday. Everything checks out. My only complaints were the lag at takeoff and the continued lurch when coasting (oh and the break dust and the floppy center console). Love love love everything else. No, really, LOVE my car.

Today, TPMS comes up, right rear tire underinflated. Checked all the pressures, all but RR at 33. RR at 25.....crap. Looked at the tire.....HUGE piece of metal stuck between the tread. Luckily I was already home. Guess this means I am buying a new tire.

Quick question. The dealer put nitrogen in the tires. I hope I don't sound like an idiot here, but can I put regular air in the tire to get it to the dealer or would you call RSA to have it taken to the dealer??

Don't buy a new tire til you have someone at least attempt to repair that one. Insist on an internal patch or plug/patch type fix.

As long as it isnt in the sidewall or close to it you should be able to patch with no problem. Unless you plan on running your Q at the track a patch will hold for ever
