I got my 2010 Q5 Prestige S-Line just a little over a month ago and I just got trunk door not closing issue today that I don't know why it happened. I dropped off my wife and baby at a mall earlier today and opened the trunk door using the "button" on the driver side door and took the stroller out of the trunk and then I pressed the button on the trunk lid to close as usual but when I pressed the button, trunk door won't close. I turned off engine and tried the button on the trunk lid and nothing happened. I looked through the manual and the only way to close the trunk is to press on the button on the trunk door.
So I just proceeded to close the trunk lid by pulling it down with my hands (there was some resistance when pulling it down to close) and pushed it to close. Once the lid is all the way down, I could hear the latch locking. Then I proceeded to open the trunk by using the button on the driver side door and pressed the button on the trunk lid to close and it worked. I don't know why trunk wouldn't close that one time.
Just wondering if this happened to anyone?

I had similar problem as well and did the same thing to re-adjust the height of the liftgate. Once re-adjusted and pushed the button to memorize the trunk height, everything has been fine.

Exact same thing happened to me on my 09 a few months ago. Called the dealer and he told me to just push down on the trunk; I did and it worked. Don't know what happened or ehy it happened, but it only happened once.

Yeah, I have experienced this and the click but fail to lift in Q7 too. I just hoping to get a bit more info from Oggie as the car appears to be a recent arrival (from reading "find more posts by Oggie").

I had a problem with the hatch not locking. When I push the close button, the hatch goes down but does not lock. There is usally a motor that pulls it in all way to lock the hatch after its been close, but I cannot get that to work at all. The worst part is that the alarm wont set with the hatch unlock and you cannot manually push it by hand to lock it. The next day, it started working by itself, isnt modern technology wonderful
