Hi there, I have a US spec Q5 with the Xenon Plus headlights.

I now live in UK and my car has just arrived.

I'm a newbie with this stuff but have been reading some threads.

Is it possible to have VAG codes changed for the headlights to change over to UK spec?

forgot to add that the headlights are self - leveling (i.e. they have motors inside) so my understanding is that I just need to get someone to change the vcds codes.

It can be done. These are instructions Sebastion posted and may not be identical for your Q5:

VCDS > Select > 55 - Xenon Range/Headlight Leveling

Security Access - 16 > Adaptation Enabling

Adaptation - 10 > Tourist Solution

Are you going to be able to find someone with VCDS to assist?

I should have been more detailed.

I need to have the headlights shifted over to the other side of the road as it's RHD here, older audis just had a switch in the back of the headlight.

I don't know anyone in UK, can you recommend someone good near london?

They drive on the wrong side of the road and have their beam pattern opposite what you'd see in the USA or other LHD countries.

Interestingly, this option is already enabled on Canadian Q5s, so you can simply select it in the MMI. I'm not quite sure why they think we'd need it.

That's pretty cool that this can be changed with VCDS. I had never thought this was possible.
