I can't remember. I didn't have any issue with this.

ukjeeper21, can you verify this is the code you input to make the emergency brake lights work. This is what I input but I wasn't able to get them to work when I was braking hard on my street. I probably wasn't braking hard enough though. Thanks

[46 - Comfort System]
[Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 8:
Bit 0 – Emergency Brake Flashing via Turn Lights active (1 = active)
Bit 1 – Emergency Brake Flashing via Brake Lights active (1 = active)

I tried this, but "56 Radio" long code helper is only 9 bytes long - no byte 12.
Can someone clarify?

What Vagcom version software are you using? I tried it again and it works for me.

I found a screen shot for you:

Can the region be changed on the DVD player with this software?

I'm using the newest version, however as far as I know that should not matter. Thanks for the screenshot. Perhaps it's my MMI version that's older than yours.

Humm, I notice that you have Nav which I don't. Maybe this makes a difference? With Nav you can access the hidden meun and change the splash screen from there:

Thanks, I forgot about the hidden menu! I'll check it out today.

WOW, great stuff in this thread. I love the emergency braking light config...that's pretty awesome for those of us living in the land of tailgaters.

I'm surprised nobody has been able to figure out how to turn OFF the TPMS on a car like our 2006 Avant.

Great video! I did this (among others) VAG changes a couple of months ago and have been wondering if this specific coding had worked.
