It is possible the model Q5, if you have:
Electric tailgate opening and closing
The electric operation makes it easier to open and close the tailgate
Open on button on the car key, key in the driver door trim and soft touch button in the finger grip of the boot lid, closing on button on the inside of the boot lid, with closing and programmable opening angle of the tailgate

Opening and closing windows and panoramic glass roof is standard
Enable Remote Operation Windows and Sunroof

If yes, have you done this on your Q5? I have the VCDS, but need a bit more info on where/how the module installs.
Thanks

spijun if I'm reading your post correctly, if you buy and install the Kufatec module and do the coding the hatch will open and close by either the remote or inside door button?

Perhaps it would be best to contact the company Kufatec
I know when you buy their product they send you a link to download instructions on how to install

Well, it's possible on the A7 using VCDS.

Plus, I found out how they're doing it so I will give it a shot.
Thanks for the responses. VERY HELPFUL.

If anyone with a Q5 has Electric Tailgate and wants to try it out, I'm game. I have regular meetups in the LA area, and occasionally in the Orange County,CA and San Fransisco, CA.
I am also having a meetup in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend if anyone is interested. Details in my signature.

I'm assuming the code above is only for the windows/moonroof; if so, I've already done it.
I have no issues if the module is really needed; just think it's dumb that you press the remote's lock or unlock button twice instead of the hatch button.

Are you saying it works without the Kufatec module? I have the electric tailgate and a VAG COM cable. What code did you change?

I was saying that I would be willing to give it a try for the Q5 and this 3rd party hardware.
I will dig up the code I used and post it here.

To make the Advanced Key Trunk Close function work, follow Stevial's instruction in the video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIi0A...ature=youtu.be
In addition:
Select "(4)-Activation using rear lid opening function in remote key-Tap function for closing".
Store value will be "not active"
Select "active" in the New value drop down
Go Back, Close, Go Back, Exit.
Enjoy closing the trunk with your Advanced Key.
