Default Ventilated Seats?

Anyone enjoying the use of ventilated seats in the Q5? As you may know, ventilated seats are the opposite of heated seats: with the flip of a switch a mini a/c unit blows cool/frigid air through the perforated leather seats onto your buttocks to help keep you cool when it is very hot inside the car. This is a nice complement to turning on the a/c unit. Silly and unnecessary you say? About as unnecessary as heated seats are in cold climates.

If you live in very hot places VS are a godsend and worth paying for. Unfortunately, the VS option is only available for order in the 3.2--not on the 2.0.

I tried this once in a Q5 about a year ago, but it was in the showroom and I wasn't particularly impressed with the performance of the VS. I also experienced it in my friend's new Jeep and it worked very well in the heat of Florida! Any satisfied VS users out there?

Are they an option on the prestige?

My wife have them in her escalade... They work ok (a nice to have), but not great.

They are an option for the prestige model, it is included in the "luxury package" for around $2300. The seats do not blow air out of the holes, but rather gently pull air through them, to wick away moisture to cool the buttocks and back.

Didn't kno they did not push air out which is how the escalade works.

We opted for the lux package and have the vent seats. They work good but its not like they get frigid or real cold, just a nice aireated feeling on your backside. I would buy them again.

Very cool graphic! Thanks for sharing that. I wonder how this option would hold up and perform over time. Might it be prone to breakdown, require servicing, or replacement? They use moving parts after all and the weight of getting in and out of the car as often as one does has got to take a toll on what seems like delicate equipment.

Default Rear Passenger Survey?

Wonder what those downstream of the blowers would have to say about the "waste heat exhaust". Blower? Blower? Anyone?

Default NO no no

I am quite disappointed

at 2.3 - heat rather than cool ...

Jast a good level of cooling only at 6 but then the motors are loud ...

Our Polish service, said the way it should be the level of 2/3 can heat ...

It is not worth to pay extra for it.( I taryde in other models of Audi and BMW and Volvo - they worked much better )

ventilation in this model does not work well
