Default Try Aerospace 303

I have used Vinylex in the past on other Audi cars. It never did damage that I can remember, but you might want to try Aerospace 303. That's my current choice. It does a great job cleaning / protecting without any glossy sheen or greasy residue.

Vinylex works fine. I use it on our Q5.

Lexol works fine on the leather seats too.

Aerospace 303 is fantastic stuff. Started using it on my 2002 TT, and haven't used anything else since.

Great stuff. My Acura had a passenger air bag "bleed thru" issue. I used 303 and it completely disappeared. I now use it on most vinyl, plastic and rubber on my cars and around the house. Great UV protection also.

Many choices for dashboard protectants depending on the look you want. Wet,dark or matte. Vinylex and 303 and other silicone based prodcts will give the wet look, but for my personal taste it's a bit too shiny. I prefer the matte look. Recently I've been using Mothers VLR and Optimum Protectant:

303 and Vinylex will probably protect the dash the best in terms of sun damage, but both exhibit a shine that some don't care for.

VLR on the right, nothing on the left:

The picture below show 3 levels of shine;
1.UIGP (Ultima Interior Guard Plus) matte finish that I like. (insanely expensive $40 bucks a botte) :dunno:
2. No Dressing
3. 303 which will darken the dash in a way that I don't care for. (not bad it's just personal preference).

Thanks guys for your input especially to gatoman, great pics. I normally don't treat dashboard; just wipe it with damp clean cloth due to chemicals may crack or discolor it. However, if you see my other post, the damn GPS friction mount caused a ring (circle) type of silicone mark on my dash after been used for 2 days. I tried to remove it with many different ways and detergents/cleaners (most of them are matte finish) but none of them worked. After googled around for days, it seems the only way to cover it up (because it can't be removed) is apply some oil based treatment over it. Vinylex is the least shine among those shiny products. Well it turned out not that bad at all. Of course, I only applied very thin layer just enough to cover entire dash and the silicone mark. I'm happy again.

So, to those people who didn't purchase Nav option and want to use silicone rubber base GPS friction mount... my suggestion is DON'T!
