Transmission holds a gear higher into the RPM range and inherently shifts into the next gear farther into the torque band...thus providing a sportier drive. Only drawback is diminished fuel mileage.

also locks up gears quicker.
Downshifts earlier.
Holds gears longer in those coasting moments in traffic.
Paddle response time faster.
