Default What are people paying for extended warranties??

Our 2010 is coming up on 50k miles and we are planning to keep if for another 40k miles or so. I know the dealer offers warranty extensions and I was looking at the gold plus. Was wondering what other dealers were quoting.
Thanks for your help.

For sure. 3/36=1769 4/48=2533 5/60=2921 5/75=3837 6/60=3157 6/72=3901

Platinum level.
These are based on 35k miles or less on the Odo as well as the vehicle having 12 months remaining of the 4yr portion of the OEM Warranty

In trying to make a deal to order a 3.0, I was quoted a price of $5,000.00 for a 6 year 100,000 mile platinum level pure protection plan extended warranty. I thought that was outrageous. No deal yet.

On a brand new zero mile car wouldn't that only give you an extra 2yrs and 50k as they would overlap?

Hadn't thought of that. My intention is to take the warranty to 100,000 miles and up to six years. I never heard of an extended warranty running consecutively with the standard warranty. I've gotten extended warranties from other makes and they don't play that trick.

Just got my paperwork in the mail today saying my Q is ready to go out of factory warranty.

They had Gold and Platinum pkgs to choose from.

Don't think I'm gonna worry about it. Pretty sure my drive train warranty is gone anyway ...

May as well keep up the mods!

That overlap is applicable to me purchasing the extended warranty now for my 2010 with 33k miles. I'm probably wrong regarding your "new" purchase.

Thunderdent...
How much did they quote you based on your mileage?

I guess I have to call them for a quote. The paper didnt say, it just told you what the packages covered.

I'm at about 32k right now. I'm not even sure how long I have. I think it was 3yrs/36k warranty, but I'd have to look it up.

I dont see how they'd even let me buy an extended warranty with my mods. They may just to get the money, but if something ever did happen and I had to use it, I could see it being a battle if they chose not to honor it.

I'm just not going to worry about it and pay for whatever may come up as it does.

Short of an entire engine blowing up (which would hopefully total a car with insurance), I'm sure I'd be fine. Hell, if the engine did blow and I had to pay for a new one, maybe I'd drop an RS5 engine in there, and turn it into a MT....haha

Let's hope nothing bad happens. I am currently knocking on wood.
