I assure you're speaking of the floor vents. Heat/air. (in all models, not just prestige)

Nope the ones I am talking about are on both sides of the console just under the cup holder. I was thinking that they have something to do with the thermo controlled cup holder but I feel hot air coming out regardless if the cup holder is turned on or not.

Are you talking about the item circled in the pic? If you look inside the vents, there are cresent-shaped pockets which makes me think it's a coin holder.

You mean directly under where the cups go? I wonder if they are fed by the duct going back to the rear seats and that vent is set to Hot? Not near my car right now otherwise I'd check...

I have a Prestige too so checked it when I got home tonight.

The vents are there as you described and I have no idea what they're for. Curious.

The vent on driver side sucks air in and blows out on passenger side. Even after I turn car off it stay in for another 30 seconds and I can hear the fan blowing. This is even with cup holder turned off. Strange...

Those are vents for the cup holder heating and cooling fan unit.

How well does the Thermo cupholder work? I'm looking at a Prestige Q5 myself...
