Mine was Dean McCrary in Mobile. The system should allow your dealer to add the hitch. I had mine added while on the boat over.

Looks like dealer or you cut/trimmed up the access panel to reduce the size of the opening where hitch sticks out?

Good information. My Q5 is sitting in Germany and the dealer is saying that there is no hitch option. Ugh. Got the story, "Talk to the port coordinator, blah, blah, no hitch". Funny, as there's a lot of cars that have it and a window sticker on another post showing it.

Very helpful information. So from the most recent pics in this threat, the conclusion is that for the s-line bumper (i) the port install drops the whole plate (so no cutting involved) while the (ii) the dealer install cuts an (un-centered it seems) piece?

No trimming was done. Its a bolt on piece/panel that covers up the hitch.
