if it rains frequently, you will have dirt on the rims anyway, and the advantage is reduced

My DIS tells me 1st oil change due in 16300 miles, i have done 2500miles from new. That will be nearly 19000 miles before im due...
I was not aware that an early oil change was nescessary...Is this a requirement under warranty...?

Cars are manufactured to much higher tolerences now with better materials....lubricants are far superior...I think that an early oil change is not neccesary, if it were it would form part of the warranty requirement.
I rarely do less than 100,000 miles from new, ive never done an early oil change and have never experienced any problems.....Save your cash...!
