I think that these are two of the most beautiful colors for the Q5 - I wonder why they discontinued these two colors only after 1 year in Canada? Were they very unpopular up there?

If those colors were popular with the masses, they'd still be in production...evidently they're not as popular as Audi would like. With most manufacturers, Silver, White, Black, and & Red are the ole standbys. Everything else is is subject to being dropped/changed at any time.

I don't know about Canada, but here in the States Audi seems to have dropped Dolphin Gray in favor of Meteor Gray a year or two ago on some (if not all) models. I personally like Dolhpin Gray better, it is classier and richer. I like the idea of Meteor Gray, but the actual color on many cars (my friend's S5 for example) is less exciting. It can look kind of dull with little depth to it; just a faint metallic cast and a tendancy to look dirty - IMHO. I would love it if they brought Doplhin Gray back.

Does anyone know if Audi ever produced the Q5 in a color called Dakar Beige? In May '09 I "built" a Q5 on the Audi site in that color (still have a copy of it), but after looking through JusForFun's spreadsheet it doesn't appear that such an animal exists.

Unfortunately Dakar Beige was dropped for 2010 models, I was considering that colour myself initially. I found out that any colour can be special ordered for an extra 3,500 greenbacks. It's ludicrous, but some owners are willing to spend that much to get what they want.

Dakar Beige is still available on the 2010 A4. I used to like it, but on the B8 A4's it looks funny, whereas on the B7 A4 it had kind of an Old Europe look. For me it was out of the question when I got my 2008 A4 since it comes only with the Cardamom Beige interior. I generally don't like light interiors, but Audi's Cardamom beige to me looks crappy - the Linen Beige on the A5 and some other models is much better, less gray in it.

I just (sorted by) looked in the spreadsheet for Deep Sea Blue and Meteor Grey in Canada... none and two.

Filter by Canada the colours come back as;
3 Amethyst Grey
7 Brilliant Black
0 Deep Sea Blue
1 Garnet Red
8 Ibis White
3 Lava Grey
2 Meteor Grey
3 Quartz Grey
1 Silver Ice
1 Stratos Blue
3 never posted colour.

Obviously Audi have the full stats but generally it all seems Black and White;-)

Thanks, guys. I was at another dealership this past weekend - I did not see any Q5 with meteor gray, but then I saw an S4 and an A5 in meteor gray, and they were absolutely stunning! The A5 also had the cinnamon interior, which looked amazing with the MG.... WOW!

Yes, I seem to see that most dealers around here just order black or white... there is nothing wrong with these colors, but then I wish that there were other colors around too!

Dakar Beige... hmm... what can I say? There is one around my work place... I have to be honest here, it looks very, very dowdy and old-fashioned... sorry folks if you own a Dakar Beige Q5!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, my mom has a Dakar Beige B8 and it looks great, to each his/her own I guess. I cannot imagine the Q5 looking "dowdy" in this color, at this point it would be a welcome relief from the seemingly default white, black, or silver that most Q5's are...
